You can compare her karate background with upcoming action heroines as Jeeja Yanin (third-dan black belt in Taekwondo) and MMA star Gina Carano with her muya thai background.


She gets interest in karate after she saw how her father was knocked down in a karate fight when she was 10 years old. She started with karate and was determined to avenge the lose of her father. She trains with her father and younger brother at the karate dojo every week.


She has an 3rd degree black belt in ryukyu shorin-ryu karate. She competes at karate tournaments and becomes ryukyu rhorin-ryu karate champion. She does weight training to build bigger muscles and does two or three hundred sit-ups a day.


She does audition for the lead role in "Shaolin Girl" in 2008, but movie producer Fuyuhiko Nishi chooses for Kou Shibasaki. Fuyuhiko places later a message on her her blog and invites her to do audition for his new upcoming martial arts movie. She did the audition without any movie experience and gets the lead role in "High Kick Girl!" (2009).


Action Movie Career


She plays the very talented karate girl Kei Tsuchiya in "High Kick Girl!" (2009). Kei takes karate lessons under sensei Yoshiaki Matsumura (played by Tatsuya Naka). Her sensei refuses to give a black belt to her, because she doesn't realizes what karate really is: the art of self-defense and not to attack. She's upset and fights against several guys in a other dojo where she defeats the master. Kei gets the master's black belt as reward when a friend advised her to join the rival fighters named the "Destroyers''. The master of the group uses her, in order to lure sensei Yoshiaki in a trap. She realizes that too late when she's captured by the "Destroyers". Sensei Yoshiaki comes to save her when both fight against the bad guys.

She plays karate girl Ayaka Kurenai who saw how her father sensei Tatsuya Kurenai (played by Tatsuya Naka) is killed by a group of men on very young age in ''KG Karate Girl'' (2011). The thugs steal the fake kurenai black belt and kidnap her sister Natsuki (played by Hina Tobimatsu). Ayaka works at a cinema in Yokohama a decade later, when two thieves steal a purse from a woman. She uses her karate skills against the thieves, who are no game for her. Her action attracts the attention of a man in a wheelchair named Momoru (played by Keisuke Horibe). The man selects a karate team for an upcoming tournament, who asks her if she the daughter of sensei Tatsuya Kurenai is. Her kidnapped sister Natsuki is brainwashed as Sakura fight champion, who learns the truth about who she is later. Ayaka is determined to get her sister back and she tries to exchange the real kurenai black belt for her sister.

She plays female Kouga warrior Kisaragi in this movie about the Iga ninjas who in war are with the Kouga clan set in a war-torn era in ''Kunoichi: Ninja Girl'' (2011). The Iga ninjas kidnap Kouga women pure for the fun of the men, who are prisoned at a camp. The evil Iga ninjas have only made the mistake to hold Kisaragi captive. Kisaragi is a very skilled female ninja warrior who escapes in order to rescue the women. She chops many arms and feets with her sword and kills many men.

Director Noboru Iguchi decides to work on a new movie named ''Deddo Sushi'' (2012), after the succes of the popular Japanese movie ''Piranha 3D'' (2010). He gets the inspiration for the ''food attacking people'' idea when he saw the movie ''Attack of the Killer Tomatoes''. She plays Keiko who is the daughter of a famous sushi chef and hopes to follow in his footsteps. She gets kung fu training from her father which is to hard for her. He forces her into impossible mental and physical limits but is unable to bear the strain. Keiko runs away from home and finds work at a rural hot springs inn. An group of employees from Komatsu Pharmaceuticals visits the inn for the famous sushi house specialty. She met the president of the company who teases her with the fact that her father sushi chef is. Medical researcher Yamada (played by Kentaro Shimazu) arrives at the inn who is betrayed by the Komatsu president. Yamada has a secret serum that can create killer sushi creatures when the serum is used in combination with fish and rice. Yamada injects the hotel sushi with the serum in order to take revenge with his ferocious bloodthirsty killers. Keiko teams up with former sushi chef Sawada (played by Shigeru Matsuzaki) in order to fight against the creatures.


She plays the lead role as superheroine Nuigulumar next to Shôko Nakagawa who plays the role of Yumeko 'Dameko' Ayukawa in ''Nuigurumâ Z''  (2014). There is an evil villain from space with the plan to change the human race into hungry zombies. Nuigulumar teams up with Yameko in order to fight against the evil villain,  to save the world.


She plays Marie Hatter who lives in the darkest region of space, where the hearts of men lie in the 22nd Century in ''Future Fighters'' (2014). An small group of brave soldiers have the fate of all humanity in their hands with their sophisticated intra-stellar fighting machines. They must defend the free solar system against a sinister invading force.


She plays Rei in a world where nuclear arms are outlawed by brilliant leader George W. Bush in ''Danger Dolls'' (2014). The president has eliminated firearms also while the law is monitored by sword-wielding police. The troubles start when aliens are arrived on earth through a wormhole from another world. The aliens are infiltrated in this peaceful culture on the planet with the intension to destroy earth. The aliens can only be stopped by the Danger Dolls, a female quartet each blessed with unique powers in order to indentify and destroy them. The four girls go undercover as J-pop idol group the "i.Dolls", in order to keep their identity secret. Scientist Taichiro Yagyu (played by Kohki Okada) is their leader who has withheld the full story for them what led to some difficult decisions and danger for the Danger Dolls during their mission to save the planet from aliens.

She plays next to Mitsuki Koga who plays the lead role as Ryuto Akane in ''Dragon Black'' (2015). She plays an short role alongside Asami, Ryôichi Inaba, Takashi Irie and Katsutoshi Kihara.

Music


Rina does audition to become the 7th generation member of the Japanese pop group ''Morning Musume'' in 2005. Too bad the manager of the group chooses for the now-graduated Koharu Kusum. Stardust Promotion has scouted her as action trainee during the audition and she signs a contract with Sony Music. She was performer of the K.G. girl movie soundtrack.
